A SHORT
introduction
Based in Calpe on Spain’s Costa Blanca, this course introduces participants to the fundamentals of outdoor climbing. Instruction covers belaying, rope work, equipment handling, and movement skills across a variety of limestone crags, with routes tailored to suit every level, from complete beginners to those progressing toward basic to hard grades.
Climbing days take place at venues such as Olta, Alcalalí, and the Penon d’Ifach, with timings adjusted through the year to suit the weather. Between sessions, there is time to relax on the coast, explore nearby towns, or join optional activities including kayaking, paddle boarding, scuba diving, sailing, rowing, canyoning, and trekking in the Bernia or Olta. Excursions to Valencia or Benidorm are also available.
By the end of the course, participants gain practical climbing skills and experience in one of Europe’s most scenic training environments.
