This 5-day canoe journey along the River Wye offers an ideal balance of adventure, skill development, and natural beauty. Paddling from the upper sections near Hay-on-Wye or Glasbury and continuing through the Wye Valley, you'll travel through rolling countryside, wooded gorges, and quiet villages.
The river features gentle current and occasional mild rapids (Grade I–II), making it suitable for those new to expedition paddling as well as more experienced canoeists looking to refine their technique and navigation.
Over the course, you'll cover river reading, paddling strokes, rescue skills, kit management, and group travel. Nights are spent camping along the river or in designated riverside sites, offering a true journey experience. Instruction is tailored to match your ability level, with options to develop more advanced skills for those with previous experience.
