A SHORT
introduction

Based in Calpe on Spain’s Costa Blanca, participants spend eight days combining rock climbing, hiking, cycling, and watersports across one of Europe’s most scenic adventure regions.

The week begins with an orientation and equipment briefing, followed by climbing at the Toix sea cliffs, focusing on technique, safety, and abseiling. Mountain biking on the Serra d’Olta ridge and a full-day Bernia circuit/ridge hike offer technical challenges and panoramic coastal views. Watersports at Calpe Marina include paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkelling, and optional sailing instruction. A second climbing day at Olta or Alcalalí builds on skills and progression, while guided road cycling into the Bernia foothills features scenic climbs and optional village stops. Evenings include reflections, swimming, or stretching to consolidate skills and aid recovery.

Optional activities and free time allow participants to tailor their experience. By the end of the week, participants leave with enhanced adventure skills and confidence across land and sea terrain.

Experiences can also be aligned with your mission or objectives, whether that is team building, leadership development, collaborative problem-solving or tailored adventures for student groups of all ages.

This custom focus comes at no additional cost, with price adjustments only for luxury or budget-dependent options.

IMPORTANT
CONSIDERATIONS

Flight Prices/Transfers: Return flights are included. Airport transfers and transfers within the country to and from organised activities are included.
Equipment Provided: All technical equipment required for climbing, water sports, and cycling is provided. A kit list will be sent in advance for clothing and personal items.
Instruction/Guiding: Professional guides and instructors accompany the group for the duration of the trip, providing guidance, supervision, and instruction. Optional evening workshops or group discussions are included to consolidate learning and experiences.
Accommodation: Accommodation is provided in shared apartments or hotels. A single supplement is available.
Meals: Daily breakfasts, packed lunches and dinners are included.
Experience/Fitness/Age: Participants must be age 14 and above, should be physically fit and able to take part in the activities. No prior experience is required, as instruction is provided at all levels.
Flexibility/Briefings: Evening workshops or group discussions are included where relevant. Every effort will be made to adhere to the itinerary, but conditions such as weather, transport, or participant health may necessitate changes.
Certificates/CPD: Participants may receive an Adventure1 achievement certificate upon completion. Where prerequisites are met, a BASI skiing certificate is also available.
Optional/Location-Specific Notes: Optional evening workshops or group discussions are included. Any optional activities in the programme, such as the yoga/stretch session, are not included. All local logistics and permits are managed by the Expedition Leader.

WHAT'S
NOT INCLUDED

Meals & Drinks: Over-the-counter food, drinks, and personal snacks are also not included.
Flights: Flights are included in the package. However, participants may arrange their own flights or request assistance if needed.
Personal Travel & Activity Insurance: Participants are responsible for arranging their own insurance covering travel, climbing, watersports, cycling, and any other activities included in the itinerary, including emergency evacuation.
Personal Expenses: Items of a personal nature, such as souvenirs, laundry, phone charges, or optional activities not listed in the itinerary, are not included.
Visas/Entry Fees: Any visa costs, permits, or entry fees required for travel to Spain are not included.
Other Optional Costs: Any other costs not explicitly stated in the itinerary are not covered.
